COVID-19: Second-Highest Spike In Odisha’s Mayurbhanj, Tally Reaches 2683

Baripada: The COVID-19 tally in Mayurbhanj district went up to 2,683 with the second-highest single-day spike of 177 positive cases overnight.

According to the district administration, 170 are local contact cases, five are COVID warriors and two are from home quarantine.

The highest of 18 cases each were reported in Bahalda Block and Baripada municipality area, 17 cases in Suliapada Block area, 11 cases each in Badasahi, GBnagar, Kaptipada, Betnoti, and Udala block, seven cases each in Jashipur, Jamda Block area and Udala NAC area, six cases in Khunta Block, five cases in Rasgobindpur Block, three each case in Rairangpur, Shamakhunta, Thakurmunda and Tiring Block, two cases each in Bangriposi, Baripada, Karanjia, Kuliana, Morada, Raruan Block area, and one cases each in Bijatala, Kusumi, Saraskana, Sukruli Block area, and Karanjia NAC area.

Besides, eight positive cases detected in Cuttack and Bhubaneswar belong to Mayurbhanj district.

With three deaths and 1,411 recoveries, Mayurbhanj district has 1,266 active cases at present.
