COVID-19 Toll In Odisha Nears 2K With 9 More Deaths, Three From Bhubaneswar
Bhubaneswar: The COVID-19 toll in Odisha touched 1,997 on Monday with nine more people succumbing to the infection in the last 24 hours.
According to the Health Department sources, the fatalities have been reported from six districts. Three of the deceased are from Khurda, two from Keonjhar, and one each from Bhadrak, Cuttack, Ganjam, and Sundargarh districts.
The deceased have been identified as:
1.A 41 years old man of Bhadrak district who was also suffering from Rheumatic heart disease, Atrial fibrillation and Mitral regurgitation.
2.A 52 years old man of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.
3.A 76 years old man of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension, Chronic Kidney Disease & Anemia.
4.A 62 years old man of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.
5.A 71 years old man of Cuttack district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension, Chronic Kidney Disease, Diabetic Ketoacidosis and Bronchial Asthma.
6.A 36 years old man of Ganjam district.
7.A 62 years old man of Keonjhar district who was also suffering from Hypertension and Bronchial Asthma.
8.A 47 years old man of Keonjhar district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.
9.A 49 years old man of Sundargarh district.
The state had seen seven deaths on Sunday after reporting eight fatalities for two consecutive days.
Meanwhile, the daily COVID-19 caseload breached the 6000-mark for the fifth day in a row with Khurda reporting the highest of 958 cases.
