Bhubaneswar: The COVID-19 toll in Odisha touched 7,901 on Monday with 67 more deaths being confirmed in the past 24 hours.

Odisha has so far seen 1,999 deaths due to the disease this month.

While 660 deaths were reported in May, the number swelled to 1,272 in June and it rose further to 1,884 in July.

The number of children and adolescents who lost their lives to COVID during the second wave in the state is 36. Twelve children in the age group of 0-18 years have died due to the deadly disease between August 10 and 28.

Among the fresh fatalities, the highest of 20 are from Cuttack, followed by 9 each from Angul, and Jagatsignpur. At least 36 among them had no co-morbidities.

The deceased have been identified as:

1.A 26 years old male of Angul District.

2.A 44 years old female of Angul District.

4.A 30 years old male of Angul District.

5.A 44 years old male of Angul District.

6.A 55 years old male of Angul District.

7.A 52 years old female of Angul District.

8.A 37 years old male of Angul District who was also suffering from Post Renal Transplant.

9.A 40 years old male of Angul District.

10.A 30 years old male of Balasore District.

11.A 40 years old male of Balasore District.

12.A 60 years old female of Bhadrak District.

13.A 45 years old female of Bhadrak District.

14.A 45 years old male of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus & Hypertension.

15.A 65 years old female of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus & Hypertension.

16.A 85 years old female of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus & Hypertension.

17.A 52 years old male of Bhubaneswar.

18.A 75 years old female of Cuttack District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus & Hypertension.

19.A 85 years old male of Cuttack District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.

20.A 80 years old male of Cuttack District.

21.A 62 years old male of Cuttack District.

22.A 75 years old male of Cuttack District who was also suffering from Hypertension.

23.A 67 years old male of Cuttack District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus & Hypertension.

24.A 52 years old male of Cuttack District who was also suffering from Hypothyroidism.

25.A 57 years old male of Cuttack District.
