Sambalpur: Amid a spike in COVID-19 cases on the campus, the Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT) here has postponed offline exams.
More than 22 students have tested positive for COVID-19 in the last three days, VSSUT Vice-Chancellor Prof. Bansidhar Majhi had informed on Thursday, adding that a medical team had visited the varsity and collected samples of the students.
The varsity has also decided to suspend all physical classes till January 10 to check the spread of the virus.
The VSSUT authorities also informed that the infected students have been kept in isolation at Angari hostel of VSSUT. Those who test negative will be allowed to go home.
Notably, classroom teaching for undergraduate and post-graduate students at the varsity had resumed on March 16, 2021.
