COVID Surge: Govt Bans Meals Service On Flights Under 2-Hour Duration

New Delhi: Come April 15, meals won’t be available on board domestic flights under two-hour duration.

In case of longer flights — over two-hour duration — servicing of meals will be staggered among adjacent seats, according to a Ministry of Civil Aviation order on Monday.

There are no restrictions on in-flight meals on international flights.

The decision has been taken because of the extreme surge in coronavirus cases in the country.

India recorded 1,68,912 fresh cases in the last 24 hours, taking the tally to 1,35,27,717.
