‘Crorepati’ Odisha Gram Rojgar Sevak Who Owns 3-Storey Bldg, 59 Plots Arrested; Check His Assets

Bhubaneswar: Gram Rojgar Sevak (GRS), Injana Gram Panchayat (formerly Kalarahanga), Bhubaneswar, Babuli Charan Padhihari was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly possessing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.

While his current salary is Rs.8,500 a month, he is found to have acquired huge properties, including 59 plots. worth crores of rupees, Odisha Vigilance said.

THE ASSETS

>> A triple-storey building near Mausima temple, Raghunathpur, Bhubaneswar worth over Rs 1.24 crore.

>> House at Dadha, Bhubaneswar purchased this year worth Rs 32 lakh.

>> 2BHK flat in Asirbad Plaza apartment, Kalarahanga, Bhubaneswar worth Rs 14 lakh.

>> Single-storey building at Raghunathpur, Bhubaneswar worth Rs 14.18 lakh.

* 59 plots worth crores – 58 in prime areas of Bhubaneswar and one plot at Belgachia, Barang, Cuttack.

* A four-wheeler worth Rs 4.98 lakh.

* A two-wheeler.

* Cash, bank deposits, gold and silver ornaments, and household articles worth over Rs 8.85 lakh.
