Cuttack: The COVID-19 tally in the Silver City touched 15703 with an overnight addition of 15 new COVID-19 cases. This is for the third time in November that the daily caseload dropped below 20 in the city.
It had seen 17 and 15 new infections on November 15 and 16 respectively.
There has been a gradual decrease in COVID-19 infections with the highest of 65 being reported on November 2 to 15 in the last 24 hours.
According to Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC), 10 among the new cases are local contacts and five from institutional quarantine.
With 153 deaths and 15467 recoveries, Cuttack city now has 153 active cases.
“The effective community interventions carried out at the ward-level is playing a key role in minimizing the potential spread and early testing amongst the vulnerable groups,” the CMC had tweeted earlier.
COVID-19 testing in camp mode is currently on at several wards of Cuttack city.
