Bhubaneswar: The daily COVID caseload continued to rise in the capital city as 3 places reported more than 100 patients in 24 hours.
According to Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), the daily caseload crossed 100 in Khandagiri, Chandrasekharpur and Patia areas of the city.
As many as 1360 COVID positive cases were reported from 9 am of Sunday to 9 am of Monday against 1321 in previous 24 hours ending at 9 am on Sunday, 1233 on Saturday, 1148 on Friday, 1055 on Thursday, 803 on Wednesday and 710 on Tuesday.
Of the total new cases, 1313 patients are local contacts while 47 are from quarantine.
Of the local contact cases, the highest 126 cases are from Khandagiri followed by 109 from Chandrasekharpur, 106 from Patia, 94 from Old Town and 88 from Nayapalli.
As many as 688 patients recovered from the disease while the casualty went up to 1105 with two patients succumbing to the disease during the period.
The active cases went up to 8,790 while total 1,34,896 people have been infected by the virus so far.
