Bhubaneswar: After two days, the daily COVID-19 caseload in Odisha crossed 400 again on Sunday as 488 more people tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.
The state reported 374 new cases on Saturday, 365 on Friday, 412 on Thursday, and 549 on Wednesday.
According to the I & PR department, 285 of the fresh infections are from quarantine and 203 local contacts. Khurda at 250, accounted for 51 per cent of the new cases, followed by Cuttack (54) and Mayurbhanj (19). Seven districts saw nil cases.
Among them, 77 (15.77 per cent) are below 18 years of age.

With these cases detected from 69,675 samples, the test positivity rate stood at 0.70 per cent.
While the COVID-19 tally has touched 1041457, Odisha now has 4,374 active cases.
