Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Majhi on Tuesday informed about daily flights between Bhubaneswar and Visakhapatnam, starting June 2025, under Building & Management of Aviation Assets and Network (B-MAAN) scheme.
Taking to his official X handle, the CM expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for “steering this transformative aviation push”. He mentioned about the New Destination Policy, unlocking new avenues for tourism, trade, and regional connectivity for a Viksit Odisha.

The flight service will be launched by IndiGo, he added.
In the 2025-26 budget in February, Majhi had pushed for B-MAAN plan to support aviation infrastructure development and enhance air connectivity in the state. An amount of Rs382 crore was allocated for establishing a new airport at Paradip and expanding air connectivity to 10 domestic and 3 international destinations.
