Bhubaneswar: The mercury dipped at several places on Monday night as forecast by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) and the regional meteorological centre here, with Daringbadi being the coldest place in Odisha at 10.5 degrees Celsius followed by Keonjhar (10), Titlagarh (10.8) and Jharsuguda (11.8).
Other places that recorded night temperatures less than 15 degrees Celsius were Sundergarh (13), Baripada (12), Balasore (12.4), Hirakud (13.6), Sambalpur (14.1), Talcher (13), Cuttack (14), Chandbali (12.2), Bolangir (13.5), Phulbani (14.1), Nayagarh (14), Bhawanipatna (13.4) and Koraput (14.5).
The Met centre has issued ‘yellow’ warning for fog in the following places:
Jan 17 (8.30 am)-Jan 18 (8.30 am)
Yellow warning: Dense fog very likely at one or two places over Koraput, Nabarangpur, Malkangiri, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Bolangir, Boudh and Sonepur.
Jan 18 (8.30 am)-Jan 19 (8.30 am)
Yellow warning: Dense fog very likely to occur at one or two places over Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Boudh, Nayagarh, Cuttack, Angul and Dhenkanal.
Jan 19 (8.30 am)-Jan 20 (8.30 am)
Yellow warning: Dense fog very likely to occur at one or two places over Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, Kandhamal, Nayagarh, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Bhadrak and Keonjhar.
