Mumbai: It was the third Sunday of June, a day earmarked for celebrating fathers and fatherhood.
In this age of social media, appreciating the role of fathers and showering love on them is just a mobile phone away.
Amid disturbing news of helicopter crash, bridge collapse and wars, the internet was on Sunday flooded with Father’s Day posts which included pictures, videos, letters, poems, memories etc.
One of the posts which caught the eye was that of Anushka Sharma. The actor-producer took to Instagram to share a heartfelt wish for her father Colonel Ajay Kumar Sharma, and gave a glimpse into her daughter Vamika’s note for her father, Virat Kohli.
“To the first man I ever loved — and the first man our daughter did… Happy Father’s Day to all the beautiful fathers everywhere,” Anushka wrote.
Anushka shared a photo of her father sitting on a chair and vibing to a song with headphones on.
She also shared Vamika’s ‘signed’ note for Virat, which read, “He looks like my brother. He is funny. He tickles me. I play make-up with him. I love him so much and he loves me this much (arms wide). Happy Father’s Day.”

Anushka and Virat got married in 2017, and welcomed Vamika on 11th January, 2021. Their second child, son Akaay, was born on 15th February, 2024.
Netizens were absolutely floored by Vamika’s note for Virat.
