Lahore: A day after he survived al alleged assassination attempt, former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan said on Friday that four bullets hit his legs while he was standing atop a container during his long march.
In a televised address to the nation from Shaukat Khanum Hospital, where he is undergoing treatment, the cricketer-turned-politician claimed that he was aware of aan attack being planned against him.
“I had already learned that there was a plan in place to kill me somewhere between Wazirabad and Gujarat,” Imran said in blue hospital attire as he sat on a wheel chair with his right leg, in plaster, placed on a chair.
Dr Faisal Sultan, who is treating the World Cup-winning captain, said X-rays showed that his right leg tibia was damaged and fractured.

“Four people planned my assassination in a closed room. I made a video and kept it. I have told that if anything happens to me, then the video should be released,” Imran was quoted as saying by Dawn.
Imran, who has named Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Interior minister Rana Sanuallah and Major General Faisal Naseer of ISI as among those responsible for the attack, slammed the ‘corrupt’ government for misusing state machinery to discredit him and his party Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
Imran is on a long march from Lahore to Islamabad to protest against the Sharif government and to demand early general elections.
