Bhubaneswar: In another tragic incident, a young auto-rickshaw driver went missing after he allegedly jumped into the Kuakhai River from the Tankapani Bridge in Bhubaneswar.
The youth has been identified as Sanjay Swain, a resident of Harchandi Sahi in Old Town area of Bhubaneswar.
According to information, the youth arrived at the Tankapani Bridge in his auto-rickshaw on Monday night. He reportedly parked the vehicle on the bridge and left his mobile phone, slippers and auto-rickshaw keys behind before jumping into the river.
Locals gathered at the spot and informed the police. On being informed, teams of fire service and police rushed to the site and launched a search operation. Sanjay was yet to be traced.
The incident comes just two days after a delivery executive, identified as Bhavani Khatei, allegedly jumped from the same Tankapani Bridge and lost his life.
