Defence Intel Leak: Rajasthan CID Seeks Odisha Crime Branch Help In Another Honeytrap Case
Bhubaneswar: In another development of DRDO espionage case, Rajasthan CID has sought assistance of Odisha Crime Branch in a case of honeytrap of an employee of a defence establishment.
According to sources, Rajasthan police has arrested a Class IV employee of Military Engineering Services in Jodhpur on the charge of leaking highly secret information to outside sources. The investigation led Rajasthan CID to confirm that the employee was honeytrapped by a woman from outside the country.
Earlier, the Crime Branch of Odisha Police had arrested five employees of ITR at Chandipur in Balasore who were involved in leaking secret information about the missile test. They were providing information about dates of missile tests from ITR and whether those were successful or not to the foreign agent.
The Crime Branch has also established that the five accused allegedly leaked sensitive intel from the high-security defence establishment after being honey-trapped by a Dubai-based woman. She had proposed marriage to two of them.
Rajasthan CID has sought assistance from Odisha Crime Branch which has obtained the photograph of the woman operative along with footage of her video calls with the five arrested.
