India launched Operation Sindoor in the early hours of May 7 and destroyed nine terror hubs in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir to avenge the deadly April 22 Pahalgam massacre in which 26 innocent men were shot down in Baisaran valley.
After Pakistan responded with drones and missiles targeting several places in the four border states of Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, Rajasthan and Gujarat, India’s Armed forces thwarted the attacks with its air defence systems and retaliated by hitting a number of airbases in Pakistan.
As Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said time and again, Operation Sindoor has not been halted, but been paused following a ceasefire agreement on May 10 between the DGMOs of the two countries.
PM Modi asserted that his government has drawn a “new normal” against terrorism and will hit back if they dare to target India again.
