New Delhi: The Rouse Avenue court in Delhi, issued summons to Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra’s husband Robert Vadra and eight others in an alleged money laundering case linked to a Shikohpur Gurugram land deal.
They have been directed to appear before the court on May 16, ANI reported.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) had filed a chargesheet against Vadra and the others on July 17, 2025. On April 4, Special Judge Sushant Changotra had taken cognizance of the chargesheet and reserved the order.
Earlier, during the hearing, Vadra had argued that no money laundering case is made out against him. His counsel and contended that the court should not take cognizance of the Enforcement Directorate’s (ED) chargesheet.
The chargesheet is linked to a money laundering probe over the Shikohpur land deal in Haryana, in which Vadra’s firm M/s Skylight Hospitality Pvt Ltd has been named.
The case originated in 2008 when Skylight Hospitality – where Vadra was a director – purchased 3.5 acres in Gurugram’s Shikohpur from Onkareshwar Properties for Rs 7.5 crore, with ownership transferred in just 24 hours. In 2012, the firm sold the land to DLF for Rs 58 crore, yielding substantial profits. An FIR was registered in 2018 over alleged irregularities.
