Dense Fog Alert For Nine Odisha Districts, Temp To Rise In Next 24 Hours

Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Saturday warned of dense fog for two days in nine districts of Odisha.

According to the IMD, there will be dense fog at one or two places over the districts of Bhadrak, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Khurda, Puri, Kandhamal, Angul and Cuttack on January 24. A similar condition will prevail in Cuttack, Bhadrak, Jagatsinghpur, Khurda, Kandhamal, Balasore, Angul, Dhenkanal and Kendrapada districts on January 25.

On the prevailing cold wave condition, the IMD said there will be gradual rise in the night temperature by 3-4°C in the interior districts and by 2-3°C in the coastal districts during the next 3-4 days.

The minimum temperature recorded 8.30 am on Saturday was lowest in Phulbani at 6.5°C followed by Daringbadi (8) and Jharsuguda (9.6).

Besides, the night temperature remained below 15 degrees in Balasore (14.2), Chandbali (14.5), Angul (11.6), Baripada (13), Keonjhar (10.2), Sambalpur (12.4), Sundargarh (12), Hirakud (12.6), Talcher (14.2), Bhawanipatna (12.5), Balangir (10.4), Koraput (11.6), Sonepur (10.6) and Nayagarh (14.5).
