Dense Fog To Engulf Odisha For Next 2 Days; Check IMD’s Yellow Warning

Bhubaneswar: While dry weather conditions will continue to prevail across Odisha, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Thursday issued dense fog warning for several districts during the next two days.

According to the mid-day bulletin, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Ganjam, Kendrapada and Khurda may experience dense fog till 8.30 am on Friday. Shallow to moderate fog is expected at one or two places in Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Khurda, Puri, Ganjam, Nayagarh, Kandhamal and Dhenkanal during this period.

A thick blanket of fog is likely to engulf one or two places in Ganjam, Kandhamal, Nayagarh, Khurda, Cuttack and Jagatsinghpur in the subsequent 24 hours. Ganjam, Gajapati, Koraput, Kandhamal, Nayagarh, Khurda, Cuttack, Angul, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur and Puri are likely to experience shallow to moderate fog.

Notably, visibility was reduced to 20 to 30 metres at some places in the twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack due to dense fog this morning.

The MeT office further said that there will be no large change in the night temperature during the next 4 to 5 days.
