Content creation has taken a turn for the worse on the Internet. Rather than making entertaining or educational material that serves the interests of the people, many Indian YouTubers/content creators are making videos that are counter-productive because they contain foul words and slaying remarks on many others.
YouTube, Instagram and many other social media are filled with abusive, vulgar and aggressive material. The irony is that these so-called ‘content creators’ are highly celebrated among the Indian audience. Many social media users proudly share their videos without giving a thought to their harmful content.
Here is a list of several content creators who are ruling the roost despite serving abusive and objectionable content.
- Hindustani Bhai
Former BigBoss contestant Hindustani Bhai aka Vikas Pathak is perhaps the first name that crops up when we talk about abusive content. The so-called content creator always makes videos that contain slay remarks, defamatory language and slangs. But wait! He is a celebrated content creator with 5,72,000 YouTube subscribers and verified Instagram accounts. Surprisingly, no one has a problem with his uncensored content. Recently, producer Ekta Kapoor accused him of abusing her and her mother over a web-series controversy.
2. Bhuvan Bam
The list is incomplete without the mention of Bhuvan Bam. He has a massive following among youth and children. Known for delivering explicit content, he is considered ‘cool’ by them. What is more, they even idolise him. He has 18 million subscribers on YouTube.
3. Ashish Chanchlani
The young YouTuber has many videos, which endorse foul language. Some even glorify smoking, taking cannabis (Ganja) etc. Ironically, he has a huge fan-following is one of the most subscribed Indians on YouTube, with 18.6 million followers.
4. Carry Minati
This overnight star, also known as Ajey Nagar is in the same league as his peers. He was recently in the news for his video called, ‘TikTok: The End’. The video contained foul words, adult language etc. However, later on, YouTube removed the video. The 20-year-old content creator has 21.4 million subscribers and counting is on.
5. Harsh Beniwal
This YouTuber has 9.09 million followers and serves content, which includes strong language. Sadly, teenagers try to emulate him for easy money and fame.
