The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) today announced a ban on international flights will continue till the end of April. The order, however, clarified that cargo flights and limited international flights under bubble arrangement will continue to operate, Economic Times reported

The DGCA order for extending it by a month came after the home ministry announced new guidelines Tuesday on managing rising COVID-19 cases.

India banned regular international and domestic flights in March as part of its measures to control the spread of the coronavirus. Limited international flights by Air India were allowed under the Vande Bharat Scheme in early May and they were later expanded to allow flights by foreign carriers under the bubble arrangement.
