Diljit Dosanjh Barred From Singing Songs Promoting Alcohol, Drugs, Violence

Hyderabad: Music sensation Diljit Dosanjh has been instructed not to sing songs that promote alcohol, drugs and violence at the Hyderabad concert on Friday.

Ahead of Diljit’s concert in Cyberabad, the Telangana government issued a notice to the Dil-Luminati organisers asking them to avoid performing on songs promoting drugs, alcohol and violence.

The notice also stated that children should not be used on stage during his concert.

Organisers have also been instructed to avoid using loud sounds and flashing lights during the concert as they are harmful for children.

The District Welfare Officer of the Department of Welfare of Women and Children, Disabled and Senior Citizens, Rangareddy issued the notice based on a representation submitted by a Chandigarh resident.

The notice pointed out that Diljit had already sung songs promoting alcohol, drugs, and violence during a live show at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi last month.

Diljit’s Hyderabad concert is part of the singer’s Dil-Luminati Tour across 10 Indian cities.
