Cuttack: Actor-turned-politician Anubhav Mohanty on Thursday moved the District Judge Court here challenging the decision of the Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate (SDJM) court on the domestic violence case filed by his estranged wife Varsha Priyadarshini.
Sources said that Varsha had earlier filed a petition in the SDJM court, accusing him of alcohol-related abuse to physical torture and financial bungling. Stating that she was also subjected to mental torture by her husband and in-law members, she had prayed the court to tag these incidents to the original petition, which was admitted by the court.

Challenging the decision of the SDJM court, Anubhav filed a petition in the District Judge Court.
