Bhopal: New details surface in the mysterious death of model-actor Twisha Sharma in Bhopal. Police have recovered crucial CCTV footage that now forms the crucial part of the ongoing probe into her final moments.
The footage, accessed by police, allegedly shows Twisha walking up the staircase towards the terrace of the building in a calm and normal condition, reported India Today. About an hour later, another clip shows her husband, Samarth Singh, and two other men carrying her downstairs. She appeared to be in a critical state.
The gap between those two moments was around 60 minutes. According to reports citing police probe, Twisha had she reportedly made a phone call to her mother from the terrace.
Her mother later told police that she spoke about alleged harassment at her marital home during the phone call. The conversation, her family alleged, continued for some time before an unknown voice was allegedly heard in the background. Thereafter, the call was suddenly disconnected, her family alleged.
The CCTV visuals reportedly show Samarth Singh, a relative living nearby, and a domestic worker bringing Twisha downstairs. At one point, they also appear to attempt CPR on her. Eventually, they take her to hospital.
Police are also examining another detail from the footage in which her mother-in-law, Giribala Singh, a retired judge, is allegedly seen entering a room before coming downstairs.
Meanwhile, Bhopal Police Commissioner Sanjay Kumar told NDTV that the police suspect it to be a case of suicide.
“What we have found so far from the post-mortem report and other evidence that we have collected is that it is a case of suicide and not of murder,” he said, as quoted by the news channel.
But no sign of drug use has been found in her post-mortem, he added. Earlier, her mother-in-law had accused her to be an drug addict.
