ED Moves Court Against Arvind Kejriwal For Skipping Summons 5 Times

New Delhi: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has filed a complaint against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for not complying with multiple summons which were issued to him in connection with the Delhi liquor policy case.

The complaint was filed before the Rouse Avenue Court here under Section 174 of IPC for non-attendance in obedience to an order from a public servant and Section 50 of Prevention of Money Laundering Act for non-compliance with summons issued by the ED.

The central probe agency has thus far issued five summons to the Delhi CM, asking him to appear before ED for questioning in the alleged liquor policy scam.

But Kejriwal has skipped every summon over the last three months– November 2, December 21, January 3, January 18 and February 2 —  saying that these are illegal and unconstitutional.
