Cuttack: Evaluation of Matric Offline Improvement Examination in Odisha will begin from August 11, said Board of Secondary Education (BSE) on Monday.
BSE secretary Srikant Tarai said that the evaluation of the papers, to be done by 1500 examiners at nine centres in seven districts viz., Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Khurda, Nayagarh and Puri will be completed in three days.
He said that the chief examiners, deputy chief examiners, assistant examiners and scrutinizers shall join at the evaluation centre at 11 am on August 10.
All heads of the institutions of these seven districts have to download the appointment letter available on the Board website www.bseodisha.ac.in and relieve the teachers to enable them to join at the evaluation centres at 11 am on August 10.
Apart from this, the District Education Officers (DEOs) of the concerned districts (or his authorized officer in case more than one evaluation centre in the district) will convene a meeting at 2 pm on August 10 to take stock of the joining of the examiners.
In case of a shortage of examiners, spot appointments will be given immediately to ensure that the evaluation work is not hampered.
As the evaluation will be conducted in accordance with COVID-19 protocols, the centre supervisor in consultation with the district health administration shall make necessary arrangements for thermal scanning, hand sanitization and centre sanitization.
The offline examination which began on July 30 will be concluding on August 5.
Out of a total of 15,155 students, 6,596 students are appearing at the High School Certificate (HSC) examination, 8,493 for Odisha State Open School (OSOS) and 66 for Madhyama examination in 504 centres.
