Bhubaneswar: Already battered by downpour, Odisha is likely to experience extremely heavy to very heavy rain during the next few days due to a low-pressure area in the region.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Monday that the low-pressure now lay over southwest Gangetic West Bengal neighbourhood. The associated cyclonic circulation extended up to 7.6 km above mean sea level titling southwestwards with height. It is likely to move slowly west-northwestwards across Jharkhand and north Chhattisgarh during next two days.
