New Delhi: Abhishek Bachchan has kept a studious silence while social media left no stone unturned in spreading rumours about a rift with his wife Aishwarya Rai and even a divorce.
The speculations began after Abhishek ‘liked’ a post about divorce and Aishwarya made a solo appearance at Anant Ambani’s wedding last month. The couple hasn’t issued a statement so far.
Now, according to some media reports, Abhishek spoke to Bollywood UK Media and addressed the ongoing rumours. He allegedly flaunted his wedding ring and said he is ‘still married.’ “I don’t have anything to say to you all about that (the rumours). You all have blown the entire thing out of proportion, sadly. I understand why you do it. You have to file some stories. It’s okay, we’re celebrities, we have to take it,” Abhishek is quoted in the report.
However, Hindustan Times reported that Abhishek made the statement about his marriage days after attending the premiere of Aishwarya’s 2016 film Sarbjit. While speaking with the media, when asked by a reporter if things were not good between him and Aishwarya based on their recent public appearances together, Abhishek said, “I don’t have to say anything to you all about that.”
Abhishek and Aishwarya have been married for 17 years and have a daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan.
Abhishek was seen attending the Olympics in Paris recently. The actor made a solo appearance at the games. He was seen cheering the Indian athletes participating in the games. He also showered Neeraj Chopra with love after he won a silver medal for India at the javelin throw final.
