Fact Check: Is Aishwarya Rai Set To Team Up With Rajinikanth After 12 Years?

Mumbai: Aishwarya Rai and Rajinikanth’s chemistry struck a chord with the audience when the duo paired up in the dubbed Hindi film ‘Robot’.

The groovy songs and action-packed scenes in a story centred around a unique robot, programmed to protect mankind and also feel human emotions, were a big hit.

It’s been almost 12 years since Robot was released. And now there are reports that Aishwarya has agreed to work again with Rajinikanth in a film titled ‘Thalaivar 169’.

Aishwarya has just finished the shoot of Mani Ratnam’s ‘Ponniyin Selvan’. The film with an ensemble cast and music by AR Rahman is scheduled to be released on September 30, 2022.

“Mani Sir has shot both parts of the film. It was a pleasure working with him, as always,” Aishwarya told ETimes.

She didn’t reveal anything on her next venture with Rajinikanth, though.

“My priority is still my family and my child. I braved and stepped out to complete Mani sir’s Ponniyin Selvan, but that doesn’t change my focus for my family and Aaradhya,” she said.
