Fact Check: Was Singer Sidhu Moosewala’s Murder Plotted Inside Tihar Jail?
New Delhi: Punjabi singer and Congress leader Sidhu Moosewala’s brutal murder may have been plotted in Delhi’s Tihar jail.
Punjab Police said that Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang and Canada-based gangster Goldy Brar have claimed responsibility for the killing of Moosewala. Bishnoi happens to be lodged in jail No. 8 at Tihar.
On Monday, Tihar jail authorities conducted searches in the high-risk cell of prisoner Bishnoi, reported Hindustan Times.
Officials of Delhi Police Special Cell are also learnt to be questioning Bishnoi and his aides — Kala Jathedi and Kala Rana.
A prison officer said, who did not wish to be named, said that the search team had found some prohibited items in the prison cell.
Punjab Police personnel may visit Tihar to take Bishnoi’s custody as they want to probe how he was in touch with Brar and planning an attack on Moosewala from inside the jail.
