Bhubaneswar: A major fire broke out at Sreeleathers showroom located near Rajmahal Square in Bhubaneswar in the early hours on Friday.
According to sources, locals noticed smoke billowing out of the showroom and alerted the authorities concerned.
After receiving information, Fire Service teams rushed to the spot to douse the flames. As the operation continued, additional firefighting teams also joined the efforts.
The firefighters managed to bring the blaze under control and prevent it from spreading further.
No injury to anyone has been reported in the incident, while the showroom suffered extensive damage.
While the exact cause of the fire was yet to be determined, it was suspected to have been triggered by an electrical short circuit. The extent of the damage to articles present inside the shop was yet to be ascertained.
