Fire Breaks Out At SBI Branch Office In Mayurbhanj

Baripada: A major fire broke out at the State Bank of India (SBI), Singada branch under Raruan police limits in Mayurbhanj district late on Wednesday.

No injury or casualty has been reported in the mishap.

Several important documents and furniture were damaged in the incident.

However, timely intervention of fire personnel saved the computer peripherals and other properties of the bank.

Though the actual reason behind the mishap is yet to be ascertained, an electrical short circuit is suspected to be the cause.

Fire services department and police have started investigation to determine the cause of the incident.
