Five Villagers Injured In Bomb Attack In Odisha’s Puri District
Puri: A long-standing tussle over fishing in river turned ugly in Kanas block of Odisha’s Puri district as the rival groups hurled bombs at each other on Sunday.
Five persons sustained serious injures and have been admitted to Kanas Hospital.
As per reports, the villagers of Jagulaipadar and Naikulapatna villages were at loggerheads since long over fishing in river Daya.
The tussle worsened today as both the groups refused o give up fishing in that part of the river leading to the clash.
Gadisagada police reached the village and rescued the injured.
To prevent further untoward incident, policemen have been deployed in the locality, said sources.
