Bhubaneswar: Odisha saw a slight rise in daily COVID caseload on Wednesday as 17 more people tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.
The state had reported 12 cases the previous day.
According to the I & PR department, 1o of the new cases are from quarantine and 7 local contacts. One among them is in the age group of 0-18 years.
Here are the district-wise figures of the new cases:
1. Cuttack: 2
2. Gajapati: 5
3. Khurda: 7
4. Nayagarh: 1
Besides, 2 from the state pool.
With these cases being detected from 15,103 samples, the test positivity rate (TPR) stood at 0.11 per cent.
The active tally has touched 131 following the detection of 17 cases and 52 new recoveries in the last 24 hours. Nine districts are free from Coronavirus.
