Bhubaneswar: Four more COVID-19 patients succumbed to the infection on Tuesday, taking the death toll in Odisha to 42.
According to Health Department sources, three deaths were reported from Ganjam and one from Cuttack.
DETAILS
1. 70-year-old man of Ganjam. He suffering from diabetes.
2. 48-year-old man of Cuttack. He was suffering from chronic liver disease and diabetes.
3. 60-year-old man of Ganjam suffering from diabetes.
4. 53-year-old man of Ganjam.
Ganjam’s death toll rose to 24 with these new cases and that of Cuttack district to five.

The virus has also claimed seven lives in Khurda and one each in Puri, Angul, Jajpur, Sundargarh, Gajapati and Bargarh.

Besides these two cases, an 80 years old COVID-19 patient of Cuttack district died of prostate cancer with metastasis while another 45 years old man of Mayurbhanj district succumbed to Cancer of Esophagus, the sources added.
