Brahmapur: Ganjam Collector V Keerthi Vasan joined sanitation workers, officials and local residents in a mass cleanliness drive at Aryapalli under Chhatrapur Municipality.
As part of the ‘Ama Ganjam, Swachh Ganjam’ campaign, the Collector personally wielded a broom and spade during the drive on Tuesday, urging people to make cleanliness a daily habit and take collective responsibility for keeping their surroundings clean.
The participants cleaned the cyclone shelter, school premises, panchayat office surroundings and roads. They also took a pledge to maintain cleanliness at their homes and neighbourhoods and motivate others to follow the practice.
Chhatrapur BDO Sambit Sangramjit Sahu, BPM Manini Jena, sanitation workers, women, block and municipal employees and local residents participated in the programme.
