Berhampur: The Ganjam administration has evolved strategies to fight the possible second wave of COVID-19 through public awareness and intensified raids.
“We have managed to contain coronavirus through the practice of social distancing, wearing masks and washing of hands at regular intervals. We should continue to follow these diligently,” said Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange.
He stressed increased testing, contact tracing and identification of super spreaders, collection of data about people visiting villages at gram panchayat level, inspections of malls and big shops to check for oximeters and thermal screening machines and deployment of COVID Monitors.
“We have to intensify raids on organisations to ensure proper adherence to the COVID-19 guidelines till there is a vaccine to prevent the infection,” he added.
