Jajpur: Body of a girl was fished out from a canal near Botalanda village of Dudhajori panchayat under Sukinda police limits in Jajpur district on Thursday.
Some locals spotted the body while taking bath in the canal and informed police.
Police suspect it to be a case of rape-murder and are waiting for the postmortem report. The villagers are also being questioned to know if they had noticed any suspicious activity in the village.
