Good News: Govt Announces Vaccine At Home For These People

New Delhi: The Central government announced on Thursday that differently-abled people and those with restricted mobility will be administered the COVID-19 vaccine at their home.

Union Health ministry officials said that the move was to further ramp up vaccination drive in the country which is still in the middle of the second wave of coronavirus pandemic.

According to government’s latest data, 66% of India’s adult population has received at least one jab while 23% are fully vaccinated.

Even though number of daily new cases are declining, Kerala still had an upward trend and accounted for 62.73% of total infections recorded last week.

Of the 31,923 people who tested COVID positive in India on Wednesday, Kerala reported 19,675.

There are 3.01 lakh active COVID cases in the country, of which 1.61 lakh are from Kerala.
