Goods Train Derails In Odisha’s Jharsuguda

Jharsuguda: Four coal-laden wagons of a goods train derailed near a coal pit in Ib area of Odisha’s Jharsuguda district in the early hours of Sunday.

According to reports, 60 wagons loaded with coal got detached from the engine at around 4 am and moved back up to a distance of one km before hitting a coal pit near the Ib. As a result, four wagons went off the track and overturned.

Sources in the MCL said the wagons were loaded with coal four days ago.

Due to the mishap, the coal transport will be hit for at least four days, the sources added.
