Bhubaneswar: All departments of the Odisha government and sub-ordinate offices in the state will start functioning with the full strength of employees from July 19.
“Most of the employees are fully vaccinated and are required mandatorily to attend office regularly,” a notification issued by the General Administration department said.
Those, who have not been able to take the two jabs for medical or some other compelling reason, have been asked to apply for an exemption to the head of office. These will be considered on a case-to-case basis, it said.
All state government offices will remain dosed on Saturdays, it added.
The government offices in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack began functioning with 50 per cent staff strength from April 19. When the state saw a surge of new infections amid the second COVID wave, the staff strength was reduced to 10 per cent from April 30 to June 10. It was increased to 30 per cent subsequently and again to 50 per cent.
