New Delhi: Union Human Resource Development (HRD) Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ on Monday released a new alternative academic calendar for the upper primary classes — VI to VIII. The aim is to continue the teaching-learning process during the raging COVID-19 pandemic.
The calendar, developed by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), has detailed guidelines for teachers on the use of technology and social media tools. An eight-week subjectwise directive has been provided, which is in continuation to the previous calendar.
Pokhriyal took to the Twitter to post: “This Calendar contains detailed guidelines for teachers on the use of technology & social media tools to impart education while the students are at home.”
Alternative Academic Calendar for upper primary stage (Classes VI to VIII) for four weeks was released earlier. I have launched the academic calendar for the next eight weeks today. https://t.co/VRNUh42NDW pic.twitter.com/AJXPsSwVSf
