Mumbai: Aditya Dhar’s ‘Dhurandhar’ has set the box office on fire as audiences across the country and abroad continue to praise the storyline and music.
Amid the film’s massive success, Yami Gautam shared her thoughts on the overwhelming response, saying that both she and husband Aditya remain grateful and grounded.
She added that the experience has only strengthened their belief in the power of strong storytelling.
“Nothing has changed us as people. That also comes from Aditya, and the kind of person he is, very unaffected and extremely humble. I’ve seen him through different phases; there are highs and lows and vulnerable phases, but it’s not like during that phase we expressed our frustration or let it out. Both of us are extremely thankful to God, for us spirituality is very important, we believe in the Almighty. Good things happen to good people. What’s meant for you may be delayed but never denied,” Yami shared in an interview with Grazia.
‘Dhurandhar’ and its sequel have been highly successful at the box office, with part 2 still performing well in India.
The first part of the spy thriller, which was released worldwide on December 5, made a strong impact and earned over Rs 1328 crore globally.
The film features Ranveer Singh, along with Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, R. Madhavan, and Sanjay Dutt in key roles, along with Rakesh Bedi, Sara Arjun, and Danish Pandor in supporting roles.
On the work front, Yami will next be seen in horror-comedy titled ‘Nayyi Navelli’, produced by Aanand L Rai’s Colour Yellow Productions.
The announcement was made at a special event hosted by Amazon Prime Video.
The film, which combines horror with humour, is expected to offer the audience a fresh and entertaining experience. It was also confirmed that after its theatrical run, the film will stream on Prime Video.
