Bhubaneswar: The regional centre of India Meteorological Department here on Friday forecast formation of a low-pressure area over north Bay of Bengal around August 4.
It has also issued yellow warning for Odisha for the next five days starting 8.30 am of July 31. Heavy rainfall is likely at several districts of the state from August 2.

Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places in Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Angul, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balangir, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Kandhamal and Boudh.

Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places in Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Dhenkanal, Angul, Cuttack, Khurda, Nayagarh, Kandhamal, Ganjam, Gajapati and Rayagada.
Day 3
Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places in Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Gajapati, Rayagada, Bargarh, Boudh.
Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places Balangir, Sonepur, Boudh, Sambalpur, Angul, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Bhadrak and Dhenkanal.
