Mumbai: Actor Suniel Shetty, who is a part of the ‘Hera Pheri’ franchise, finally opened up about how Paresh Rawal’s exit from ‘Hera Pheri 3’ will affect the film.
Shocked to learn about Paresh’s sudden exit from the film, Suniel stated that ‘Hera Pheri 3’ cannot happen without the veteran actor.
“It cannot happen. 100 per cent cannot happen without Paresh Rawal. It can have 1 per cent chance without me and Akshay, but 100% can’t happen without Paresh ji. No, it doesn’t. Raju and Shyam, if they’re not hammered by Babu here, it doesn’t work,” Suniel was quoted as saying by ANI.
The actor further said that both, he and Akshay were unaware of Paresh’s decision to quit the film, and that he learnt about it through his children, Athiya and Ahan.
Sharing how he first heard the news through his children, Suniel told India Today, “They both sent it to me within 15 minutes, asking ‘papa what is this?’ And I was here doing my interviews, and I felt like ‘holy s***’.”
The actor said that he will definitely call up Paresh and try to convince him to return as just like the audience, he too is eagerly looking forward to the collaboration of Raju, Shyam, and Baburao in the cult comedy.
Meanwhile, director Priyadarshan told HT, “I don’t know why this happened because Paresh didn’t inform us. Before starting the film, Akshay asked me to check with both Paresh and Suniel and I did and both were onboard.”
“I don’t have anything to lose but Akshay has invested money and that could be the reason why he is taking this action,” he added.
Surprisingly, Akshay and Paresh are currently working with Priyadarshan in another film titled ‘Bhoot Bangla.’
