Bengaluru: In the Bengaluru triple murder case, police probe has revealed that the prime accused had planned the killings for about six months using AI-based chatbots.
The Bengaluru police, as reported by India Today, has already written to an AI tool company to gather information about the accused’s chat history. The crime was committed on June 22.
According to reports, 52-year-old Somasundar, his wife, 48-year-old Muthulaxmi, and their 19-year-old daughter Supriya were stabbed to death last month. Cops had arrested the deceased couple’s elder daughter, Shwetha, and her live-in partner, Kenneth. They were arrested separately from Puducherry, reported HT. Shwetha was taken into custody on June 24, followed by Kenneth’s arrest a day later, on June 25, reported India Today.
From hunting answers on the process to kill to how to dispose the bodies, the duo had used the chatbots at each step of the conspiracy. While both had committed the murders, the planning was mostly done by Kenneth, police said.
They sought answers on how to remove bloodstains and whether the furnace built by him for the planned cloud kitchen could be used to incinerate the bodies, police said as per the HT report. According to police as mentioned in the India Today report, Kenneth did not ask direct questions to the chatbot on the murder process. Instead, he framed his queries indirectly, asking questions along the lines of, “If something like this happens, what should I do?”
The report further mentions that Kenneth had allegedly asked Gemini questions such as, “Thieves came into my house. How do I attack them? What are the weapons?” According to police sources, he also searched for ways to first blind a person and then stab them.
Shwetha had allegedly borrowed Rs 50 lakh from her mother to help Kenneth in running a cloud kitchen business. As the couple was unable to repay, they allegedly planned the murder.
