Hockey India Announces Trophy Tour From Next Week Ahead Of Men’s World Cup 2023

Bhubaneswar: Hockey India on Friday announced a Trophy Tour in various states of the country ahead of FIH Odisha Hockey Men’s World Cup 2023 which is slated to be held in Bhubaneswar and Rourkela.

The tour will officially kick off on December 5 with Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik handing over the trophy to Hockey India President Dilip Tirkey in Bhubaneswar.

According to sources, the trophy will travel to 12 states and one Union territory including West Bengal, Manipur, Assam, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, New Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Karnataka, in 21 days.

It will eventually return to Odisha on December 25 and will go on a tour of the state.

1. December 5 – Trophy will be handed over to Hockey India president in Bhubaneswar
2. December 6 in Kolkata
3. December 7 in Imphal
4. December 8 in Guwahati
5. December 10 in Jamshedpur
6. December 11 in Ranchi
7. December 12 in Lucknow
8. December 13 in UP/Punjab
9. December 14 in Amritsar
10. December 15 in Sonipat
11. December 16 and 17 in Delhi
12. December 18 in Bhopal
13. December 20 in Mumbai
14. December 21 in Chennai
15. December 22 in Thiruvananthapuram
16. December 24 in Bengaluru
17. December 25 – Trophy reaches Bhubaneswar for Odisha tour
