India Administers 6.77 Crore COVID Vaccine Doses In 13 Days, Says Report

New Delhi: India’s vaccination against COVID-19 increased by 67 per cent as the country administered 6.77 crore doses in the 13 days from June 21 to July 3.

Since India returned to COVID vaccines’ centralised procurement and distribution, it vaccinated one-fifth of all doses since the process started on January 16, reported The Indian Express.

According to the data, daily inoculations have averaged 52.08 lakh since June 21, compared to 31.20 lakh in the preceding 13 days.

However, the initial batch of Moderna’s COVID-19 vaccine will arrive in India in the next few days, according to CNN-News18. With the arrival of Moderna, India will have four options to pick from — Covaxin, Covishield, Sputnik V and Moderna.

The Health Ministry has also reiterated in recent briefings that Pfizer may be coming to the country shortly.
