India Fights Corona: No New Case In 12 States, UTs In Last 24 hours

New-Delhi: Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan on Sunday said that 12 states and Union territories, including Kerala, and Jammu Kashmir, have not reported any new case of coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours.

Four states/UTs in the country so far have zero corona cases.

After reviewing the preparedness for COVID-19 management in Mandoli area here, the health minister informed that media that 3,46,856 patients with mild or very mild symptoms can be kept in 4,362 corona care centres across the country.

He further informed that the central government had dispatched 72 lakh N95 face masks and 36 lakh PPE kits to the states so far.

The 12 states and Union Territories that have not reported any new case in the last 24 hours are Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Kerala, Mizoram, Manipur, Goa, Meghalaya, Ladakh, Arunachal Pradesh and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

India has reported 62,939 COVID-19 cases as on Sunday, of which 19,358 have been cured. The virus has so far claimed 2,109 lives, according to the latest Health Ministry’s bulletin.
