New Delhi: The daily COVID-19 curve in India witnessed marginal improvement as the country logged 2.35 lakh cases in the last 24 hours on Saturday. The figure is around 6 per cent lower than Friday.
A total of 871 people have died of COVID in the last 24 hours, said the Health Ministry.
The active cases are now total infection’s 4.91 per cent, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate has dropped to 93.89 per cent. As many as 400 districts have reported more than 10 per cent positivity rate in the week ending January 26.
Meanwhile, the COVID-19 vaccination coverage in India has crossed 164.04 crore doses. Among the eligible adult population, 95 per cent has been administered the first dose of COVID vaccine while 74 per cent are fully vaccinated.
